Eggs - beautiful blue ones. A dunnock is nesting in the sedge again. I only noticed when it exploded out from the thicket of leaves. I grabbed the camera quickly, then retreated and blocked off the path. I hope her clutch makes it - but I have to say it's not a great choice of nesting site - too close to the kids and fooballs etc. We will do our best! Last year it was mid April before I spotted any nests in the garden.
And the tadpoles are thriving. Wriggling and growing. It will be time to supplement their diet soon. A shred or two of meat goes down well, so long as you remove it from the water once they've sucked all the goodness out of it.
